Xeriscaping

Definition: Xeriscape landscaping, by definition, is landscaping designed specifically for areas that are susceptible to drought, or for properties where water conservation is practiced.  Simply stated, Xeriscape is a landscape that is water wise – using water conservatively in the landscape without wasting. Creating sustainable landscapes is one way that homeowners can lessen the impact  on the local environment.  

Xeriscape is the best alternative for our semi-arid region.  Thoughtful planning of water wise plants, small amounts of grass, patios, walkways, and water features, beautify the landscape, maintain minimal water consumption, and typically require much less maintenance than the alternatives.
